OnePlus has a special gift to OnePlus 5 and 5T users. The official Android 9.0 Pie OS OTA update is now available for those smartphones!

The update brings the new OxygenOS 9.0 skin based on the latest Android Pie OS to the OnePlus 5 and 5T. It highlights a brand new UI, navigation gestures (OnePlus 5T only), Android security patch to 2018.12, and other new features/system improvements.

The update also brings the new Gaming mode 3.0 feature with text notification mode and notification for 3rd party calls.

You will also find the new DND (No not disturb) mode with adjustable settings and integrated Google Lens mode on the camera on the new update.

There's no word if the OnePlus 5 and 5T will get the Nightscape mode like the OnePlus 6.

OnePlus stated that the OTA will be incremental. It will reach a broader percentage of users in a few days.

You may check if the update is available on the settings of your handset. Make sure that you have enough battery life and good internet connection before updating your OnePlus 5/5T phone.
