Breaking: OnePlus 6 will get the Nightscape mode update soon!

At the on-going launch of the OnePlus 6T, OnePlus announced that even the older the OnePlus 6 will get the Nightscape mode too!

Nightscape is the newest night mode of OnePlus designed to help the OnePlus 6 and the new OnePlus 6T take better lowlight photos. It uses Nightscape HDR with detail optimization, multi-frame stabilization, and noise reduction. All you need it 2 seconds of exposure time.

The new killer night mode?

In comparison, Huawei's AI-assisted night mode has up to 6 seconds of long exposure. You will need less time with OnePlus to take the night shot.

OnePlus shared that some of their fans expressed their observation that the Huawei P20 takes better night shots compared with the OnePlus 6.

In their announcement today, the Chinese smartphone company subtly admits that their "Nightscape" feature has drawn inspiration from Huawei's night mode.

This could be the company's answer to Huawei's night mode. We just do not know if it is as good as the latter.

Dual-cam

In case you missed it, the OnePlus 6 is equipped with a dual-camera setup. It is equipped with a 16MP f/1.7 IMX519 sensor and 20MP f/1.7 Sony IMX376 sensor with PDAF, 2x zoom, OIS, EIS, and LED flash.

OnePlus also revealed that Nightscape will be available to OnePlus 6 soon.
