Breaking: OnePlus 6T launched with a tiny notch, bigger battery, and Nightscape mode!

In an event in New York City Today, OnePlus launched the OnePlus 6T. It's the highly anticipated upgrade to the capable OnePlus 6.

Coming from the OnePlus 6, the OnePlus 6T will sport a new design. It comes with the same metal and glass body, but the screen is now bigger at 6.4-inch with 19.5:9 that has much slimmer looking bezels and smaller waterdrop notch. It is an AMOLED panel with 2340 x 1080 resolution at 403 ppi. It now has the In-Display fingerprint sensor on the screen just like new Vivo phones.

Under the hood, the OnePlus 6T still runs with trusty Snapdragon 845 octa-core flagship SoC with Adreno 630 GPU. But, it will now have the Smart Boost technology which uses the RAM as storage to improve gaming and overall performance of the phone. For PUBG Mobile, it has up to 20 percent faster load time and smoother frame rates on games like NBA 2K18.

The prices

The other upgrade of the OnePlus 6T is the battery. Coming from the 3,300mAh of the OnePlus 6, the OnePlus 6T now has 3,700mAh of battery. It is the biggest on a OnePlus smartphone yet.

Moreover, it still has the new OnePlus Fast Charge solution which can provide up to 5 hours of juice in just 10 minutes of charge!

The OnePlus 6T still has the 16MP f/1.7 IMX519 sensor + 20MP f/1.7 Sony IMX376 sensor. But, it now has the Nightscape HDR with detail optimization, multi-frame stabilization, and noise reduction. All you need it 2 seconds of exposure time.

It also has the studio lighting mode which works like Apple's portrait lighting. OnePlus also stated that they updated the HDR and bokeh modes of the phone.

OnePlus also stated that their new Oxygen OS based on Android 9 Pie is a much better software with 500+ targeted optimizations.

OnePlus also announced that they will have a 5G phone by 2019.

The OnePlus 6T will be available from November 1 in US and November 6 in Europe, starting at USD 549 (around PHP 29.4K).
