Xiaomi updates the Mi 8, now with handheld night photography and 960fps ultra slow motion
Xiaomi has a new update for the Mi 8. It adds two new camera features to improve your photography and videography experience.

In case you missed it, the Mi 8 is a flagship-grade smartphone with Snapdragon 845 SoC. It comes with a 12MP f/1.8 Sony IMX363 wide-angle sensor and another 12MP f/2.4 Samsung S5K3M3 telephoto sensor at the back.
Better low light photos and super slow motion feature!
The first significant new feature found on the update is the steady handheld night photography mode. It will allow the Mi 8 to shoot better HDR images in low light even on handheld mode. It is dubbed as the Super Night Scene mode.
It should improve the low light images taken with the Mi 8.

Next is the 960fps mode. It will allow the Mi 8 to shoot up to 960fps super slow motion videos.
These new camera features will come with the global MIUI 10.1.2.0 update wiht a size of 288MB.
The update is available for both the Mi 8 and Mi 8 Explorer Edition. Xiaomi said that the Mi 8 Pro should get the update soon as well.
Previously, Xiaomi also updated the POCOPHONE F1 with the same set of features.
