Xiaomi got the Guinness Book of World Records by assembling largest dynamic smartphone display

Xiaomi has a new Guinness world record. At the launch of the Mi Play yesterday, the company created a dynamic display in a shape of a Christmas tree.

It is made out of 1,005 units of Mi Play

It is made out of 1,005 units of the Mi Play to enter the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest dynamic smartphone display. The previous record is made out of 504 phones. It took Xiaomi 12 hours to make the giant Christmas tree made out of Mi Play smartphones.

The display is found inside the a shopping mall in China which serves as an attraction to shoppers and mall goers. In addition, it also acted as a mobile WiFi hotspot to provide high-speed internet connectivity inside the mall.

It is the 3rd time that Xiaomi has entered the Guinness Book of World Records. The last record they got is when they opened 500 Mi stores in India simultaneously last October 29, 2018.
