Huawei MRD-LX1 stops by EEC and FCC, the Y6 2019!

A Huawei device with a model number MRD-LX1 and MRD-LX1F recently appeared on EEC and FCC certification. It is the Y6 2019!

EEC confirmed that Huawei Y6 2019 is in the works and it is the follow-up of Y6 2018. The handset is expected to be next entry-level yet capable offering of the company.

On the other hand, FCC showed that it will feature a slightly slammer battery capacity at 2,920mAh versus the 3,000mAh of Huawei Y6 2018.

FCC's listing also showed that TÜV Rheinland certified the handset as a "low blue light" device. It will also come with an FM Radio which means that there's a 3.5mm headphone jack slot. The networks supported shown are GSM 850, PCS 1900, WCDMA bands 2 and 5, and LTE bands 5 and 7.

Other than that, documentation for the new handset is still limited.

Huawei Y6 2019 is expected to feature a larger display with a taller aspect ratio. We won't be surprised if it will come with a notch. The handset is also expected to run on a newer and better chipset versus the Snapdragon 425.

It should also have an upgraded overall specs and the newer Android 9.0 OS with EMUI 9.0 skin.

Sadly, we do not know when will Huawei make this handset official.
