Samsung Galaxy M10 and M20 with Infinity-V screens (waterdrop notch) now official!

Right on schedule, Samsung announced two new phones under the new M series, the Galaxy M10 and M20.

Samsung stated that the Galaxy M smartphones are powerful and stylish at the same time. Both are designed for tech savvy millenials.

As expected, both the Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 arrived with 19:5:9 Infinity-V screens ala OPPO waterdrop notch. The notch houses the selfie camera. The bezels on both devices are extra slim as well.

The Galaxy M10 features a 6.22-inch TFT screen with HD+ 1520 x 720 resolution. Inside, it has the 14nm 1.6GHz Exynos 7870 octa-core processor with Mali-T830 MP2 GPU. It also has 2GB/32GB RAM, 16GB/32GB storage, expandable microSD card slot up to 512GB, and 3,430mAh battery.

On the camera part, there's a 13MP primary camera with f/1.9 aperture size for low light shots paired with a 5MP f/2.2 ultra wide-angle secondary camera. There's a 5MP f/2.0 selfie camera as well.

It also has face unlock tech, but with no fingerprint reader. It features WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, dual 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5, GPS, GLONASS, and dual SIM slots.

It boots with Android 8.1 Oreo OS with Samsung Experience 9.5 skin.

The phone measures at 156.4 x 74.5 x 8.8 mm.

On the other hand, the Galaxy M20 is the beefier and better device. It has a 6.3-inch TFT screen, but it goes with a sharper 2340 x 1080 resolution.

Inside, it runs with the 14nm 1.8GHz Exynos 7904 octa-core chip, Mali-G71 MP2 GPU, 3GB/4GB RAM, 32GB/64GB internal storage, expandable microSD card slot up to 512GB, and 5,000mAh battery with USB-C charging.

It also goes with a 13MP primary camera with f/1.9 aperture size for low light shots paired with a 5MP f/2.2 ultra-wide angle secondary camera. For selfies, you will find an 8MP f/2.0 shooter.

It also has face unlock tech, fingerprint sensor, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, dual 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5, FM Radio, GPS, GLONASS, and dual SIM slots.

It boots with Android 8.1 Oreo OS with Samsung Experience 9.5 skin.

Price and availability

The new Galaxy M phones are extra affordable for a Samsung.

The Galaxy M10 with 2GB RAM/16GB ROM is priced at Rs. 7,990 (PHP 5.9K) and the 3GB RAM/32GB ROM retails for Rs. 8,990 (PHP 6.4K).

The Galaxy M20 with 3GB RAM/32GB ROM is priced at Rs. 10,990 (PHP 8.1K) and the 4GB RAM/64GB ROM is priced at Rs. 12,990 (PHP 9.5K).

Both will be available exclusively from Amazon India and Samsung.com starting February 5, 2019.

There's no word when will it reach the Philippine shores yet.
