What does this mean? There's a chance that Huawei will bring the said innovative 5G foldable device in the country.

The first 5G foldable phone in PH soon?

Dubbed as the "World's fastest 5G foldable phone", the Huawei Mate X features an 8-inch screen in tablet mode. When folded into a smartphone it will become a 6.6-inch device.

At 8-inch tablet mode it has a resolution of 2480 x 2000. In 6.6-inch screen smartphone mode it has 19:5:9 screen aspect ratio with 2480 x 1148 resolution.

At the event, we confirmed the camera specs of the device as it wasn't announced when it was first introduced in Barcelona.

The Mate X foldable phone is packed with a triple Leica camera system like the Mate 20 Pro. It comes with a primary 40MP sensor paired with a 16MP ultra wide-angle lens and an 8MP 3x telephoto sensor.

You can use the Leica triple-camera setup as the selfie camera when on smartphone mode.

The rest of the specs include a 7nm Kirin 980 chip + Balong 5000 5G modem. Huawei claimed that it is the only 5G modem for phones with support for 2G to 5G. Other chips only supports 5G.

Huawei also said that it is the fastest 5G  device in the world as it has speeds of up to 4.6 Gbps.

Lastly, the Mate X has a massive 4,500mAh battery capacity. Huawei used two cells for the 4,500mAh juice.

Moreover, it has the fastest charging tech in the world. It features a 55W SuperCharge tech with up to 600 percent faster charging speed versus the iPhone XS Max.

However, Huawei failed to disclose its exact local date of availability and the price yet.

In Europe, it is priced at EUR 2,299 or around PHP 135K out of straight conversion.
