HONOR 8C is one of the most stylish phone that you can buy for the price

Aside from its decent specs, HONOR takes a lot of pride on 8C's design. It's the company's phone with a "Cat's eye" design.

Why Cat's eye? At the back, Honor 8C boasts different hues of blue. Even if the material at the back is not made out of glass, Honor's paint finish reflects light like a cat's eye in the night.

Neat finish at the back

Another thing that I like about its design behind is it isn't too flashy. The shine is subtle not too plain unlike other phones with simple paint finish. It has generous curves that makes it more premium looking than its PHP 7,990 asking price as well.

Dual-cam

It has a hump for the dual cameras, but at least it is not as thick as other camera humps. The fingerprint scanner is perfectly placed in the upper middle portion of the back.

Large screen-to-body ratio

In front, it comes with a bit 6.26-inch HD display. But since it has a 19:9 screen aspect ratio, the phone is not as big as traditional 18:9 or 16:9 phones with 6-inch screens.

In particular, it measures at just 158.72 x 75.94 x 7.98 mm. Trust me, the iPhone 8 Plus is almost as big. It is 158.4 mm tall and 7.81 mm wide. It is just a bit slimmer at 7.5 mm.

Honor made that possible by making the bezels slim. The top bezel and side bezels are slim. Only the bottom bezel is a bit thick enough to house the Honor logo.

The notch

It doesn't have the tiny dewdrop notch like the HONOR 10 Lite. But, the notch is not as big as the iPhone X notch. It is still respectable for me. At least the notch was able to house the selfie camera, selfie LED flash, LED notification, earpiece, and other sensors. 

It has 86.6 percent of screen-to-body ratio in total. All of the buttons and ports are also easy to reach. It also has a total of 3 hidden slot at left for the dual nano SIMs and the microSD card.

Overall, the design is pretty impressive for its PHP 7,999 asking price. HONOR 8C is now available nationwide as well.
