To help in the growing problem of e-waste disposal, Brother Philippines launched a trade-in promo to help Filipinos let go of their old electronics.

E-waste disposal can be a challenge especially for machines that has parts that cannot be simply categorized between biodegradable and non-recyclable. That is why a trained e-waste disposal team is needed for this.

Brother Philippines stepped in with their trade-in promotions to rid Filipinos of their old printers to allow them to use the genuine Brother Ink Refills only. The company asks customers to bring in their unwanted printers, copiers, fax machines and scanners to a select location. It will then get them discounts for their next Brother printing equipment.

Brother Philippines then worked with HMR Philippines, DENR-accredited recycling company, for the proper disposal of the old devices. HMR Philippines break down the old machines by parts to evaluate which is usable or not. Usable parts are recycled while non-usable parts are passed on for final treatment with another service provider.

This helps lessen e-waste as a whole and in turn help in saving the Earth from more pollution.
