Build/Design - All three phones looks great with glass like back materials and screens with large working area, and slim bezels. The advantage of Y9 Prime 2019 is it goes with the new USB-C reversible standard. On the other hand, F11 Pro and V15 are still equipped with the ageing micro USB port.

Display - Y9 Prime 2019, F11 Pro, and V15 are packed with large 19:5:9 IPS screens with FHD+ 2340 x 1080 resolution. Y9 Prime 2019 has the largest among the 3. It uses a 6.59-inch panel versus 6.53-inch screens of F11 Proa and V15. Only Y9 Prime 2019 has a TÜV Rheinland certified screen designed to reduce blue-light damage as well.

Specs - The three phones are packed with mid-range worthy specs. Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 is equipped with the 12nm 2.2GHz Kirin 710F chip with Mali-G51 MP4 GPU. Both F11 Pro and V15 highlight the 2.1GHz 64-bit MediaTek Helio P70 octa-core processor and Mali-G72 MP3 GPU.

Y9 Prime 2019 has 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. F11 Pro loads with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage. V15 packs 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The storage option of the Y9 Prime 2019 looks pretty generous for smartphones with an expected budget price tag.

On the battery part, all loads with 4,000mAh battery with up to 2 days of battery life. Again, only the Y9 Prime has the new USB-C reversible standard.

It saves users the hassle of determining which way to plug in the cable for charging or data transfer.

The charging speed of F11 Pro and V15 are faster at 20W and 18W, respectively though.

Cameras - At the back, only F11 Pro has a dual-camera setup. It uses a 48MP f/1.8 main cam paired with a 5MP depth sensor. It doesn't have the versatility of a triple-camera setup.

Y9 Prime 2019 is equipped with 16MP f/1.8 + 8MP f/2.4 120-degree ultra wide-angle lens + 2MP f/2.4 cameras while V15 comes with 12MP f/1.78 + 8MP f/2.2 + 5MP f/2.4. The camera bump on the V15 is a bit thick though.

The main cam of Y6 Prime 2019 looks more promising than V15.

For selfies, Y9 Prime 2019 has a 16MP f/2.2 camera while the F11 Pro loads with a 16MP f/2.0 camera. V15 is packed with a 32MP selfie snapper.

Our thoughts

If the rumored USD 300 (around PHP 15.6K) is true, then the Huawei Y9 Prime 2019 could be one of the most affordable phones with an Ultra FullView display and pop-up camera design.

Its overall specs and features are even comparable even against the pricier F11 Pro and V15.

Could this be the new affordable phone with full-screen design to get?
