The local company aimed to bring affordable technology closer to the Philippine mass market since the launch of Flare in 2012 but around 2017, it seemed quiet in terms of releasing new gadgets.

By the 4th quarter of last year, Flare S7 series took the spotlight with budget phones that are equipped with the Helio P60 processor, wireless charging and quad-cameras.

So why did the Flare S8 series ignite the competitive spirit of this brand?

Let's meet the members of Flare S8 series?

Starting with the most pocket-friendly among the bunch, Flare S8 comes in a stylish gradient design and a big display of 6.26 inches. It runs with 16nm Helio P23 octa-core processor, 3GB RAM, and the storage capacity did not disappoint as it has 32GB for internal memory, expandable up to 128GB.

It also has a pair of 13MP back and front cameras. The only problem that can be encountered is the 2,800mAh battery capacity that can be solved with a power bank.

Not a bad idea, considering Flare S8 will only cost PHP 3,999 and it has fingerprint security and face detection already.

Still, it has the highest specs found in the PHP 4K price range.

Both mobile gamers and selfie-lovers will have a reason to rejoice about the Flare S8 Pro. It flaunts the largest screen from this series, 6.5-inch HD+ with TrueView teardrop display and the 12nm Helio P22 octa-core processor.

The front camera is 20MP while there's a dual cam at its rear with 20MP + 5MP set-up. This model is powered with a 4,000mAh battery capacity so users can enjoy it for a much longer time even when gaming or watching video clips. Assessing all its plus points, Flare S8 Pro is surely a steal for a price that is almost PHP 6,000 only, PHP 5,999 to be exact.

On paper, it has the largest RAM and storage size at this price point.

Last but definitely the least is Flare S8 Plus, the flagship model of this latest series which has a side-mounted fingerprint reader and pop-up camera which made it distinct from the ones mentioned earlier.

Physically, it looks like a high-end smartphone as it possessed a stylish body and 6.26-inch FHD+TrueView Display with a motorized dual pop-up camera system.

This model is also ideal for gaming as it has the speedy 2.1GHz Helio P70 octa-core SoC, large enough 6GB RAM, and 128GB storage expandable up to 512GB. Going back to the camera features, this enjoys a triple camera set-up at the back while a dual camera on the front pop-up. For only PHP 12,900, Flare S8 Plus can give the other well-known brands a run for their money.

As of writing, Flare S8 Plus is still the most affordable phone in the country with such design, screen, and specs.

Cherry mobile will make the Flare S8 series officially available in the market at the end of August 2019.

We think that it did a superb job in coming up with those impressive features at reasonable price points so the game-changer tagline suits it.
