Xiaomi releases Redmi 7A in PH, a feature-packed phone for less!

Xiaomi has just launched the Redmi 7A in the Philippines. It's the company's newest feature-rich yet pocket-friendly phone.

It is a device that could be great for students and anyone who needs an affordable phone with strong battery performance, AI-powered camera, capable chipset, and a pretty big display on a compact form factor.

First off, Redmi 7A highlights a stylish-looking P2i water splash resistant polycarbonate body in different colors like matte black, matte blue, and more.

It uses a 5.45-inch display with an 18:9 screen aspect ratio, HD+ resolution, and a TÜV Rheinland certified reading mode for eye comfort even after long hours of use.

Under the hood, it runs with one of the most powerful chips for the price, the 12nm 2.0GHz 64-bit Snapdragon 439 octa-core processor with Adreno 505 GPU. It is paired with either 2GB RAM or 16GB storage or 2GB RAM and 32GB storage.

Both variants have up to 256GB microSD card slot support.

The other major highlight of this device is its battery. It uses a large 4,000mAh battery with 5V/2A micro USB charging. Xiaomi said that it is large enough to last for 2 days of moderate use on a single charge.

Capable AI-camera

Redmi 7A is also equipped with a pretty good camera, the 12MP f/2.2 Sony IMX486 sensor. It's the same lens with 1.25μm pixel size, 5P element lens, and PDAF focus found with other mid-rangers like the Mi A2 in the past. Now it is available on an entry-level phone!

Xiaomi also ensured that it has AI for scene detection and auto image optimization.

For selfies, you get a 5MP f/2.2 sensor with 3P element lens.

Xiaomi Redmi 7A comes with a starting price of PHP 4,790 for the 2GB RAM/16GB storage variant in matte blue and matte black. The 2GB RAM/32GB storage option in gem blue and matte black tails for PHP 5,290.

The phone will be available on Authorized Mi Stores starting July 26 and Lazada from August 6. Soon, it will be available on Shopee as well.
