Chinese tech giant Huawei has been the talk of the town in the second quarter of this year after the US government made a bold move to include it in the "entity list", but the embattled firm continues to show its dominance in the technology market, and on August 9, we will witness Huawei Developer Conference 2019.

What to expect and where to watch live the #HDC2019?

To be held in Songshan Lake, China, Huawei is gearing up to gather technology companies across the world to discuss opportunities to boost digital services available for more application scenarios.


Top officials from Huawei will grace the event, including its executive director, CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Group Richard Yu; Zhang Ping'an, president of Huawei Consumer Cloud Service; Wang Chenglu, president of software engineering; and Shao Yang, chief strategy officer. 

So what should we expect? According to its website, more than 5,000 global developers are expected to join the said conference in China. 

Over 200 sharing sessions will be held to talk about Huawei's open capabilities, and participants will get to enjoy an interactive exhibition area, where they could see smart home, smart wearables and Huawei health, mobile office, and audiovisual entertainment. 

Industry sources also expect Huawei to unveil its Hongmeng operating system as well as the EMUI 10 based on Android Q, which may be launched with the Huawei Mate 30.
