Meizu 16s Pro with SD855+ and dirt-cheap price goes official in China

In an event in China, Meizu launched the 16s Pro. It's a flagship smartphone equipped with a 6.2-inch notchless AMOLED display with super-narrow bezels and the overclocked Snapdragon 855 Plus processor.

It also highlights pretty good camera hardware with a 48MP f/1.7 Sony IMX586 sensor w/ PDAF, OIS, 20MP f/2.6 Sony IMX350 telephoto sensor, and 16MP f/2.2 117-degree ultra wide-angle camera w/ 4cm macro and ring LED flash.

Meizu also claimed that it has a 4D gaming experience with real-time recognition of the game scene that automatically vibrates the phone depending on the scene.

For audiophiles on the go, Meizu is also selling a Hi-Fi Auto Pro Type-C to 3.5mm converter. It has braided cables, Cirrus Logic CS43131 Hi-Fi DAC, Class II TI OPA 1622 operational amplifier (op-amp), and Hi-Res audio support.

In addition, Meizu announced the EP3C Type-C Headphones with Bio-fiber diaphragm, sound field wide-area technology, Hi-Res sound certification, and built-in DAC.

Meizu 16s Pro has a starting price of CNY 2,699 (around PHP 19.7K) for the 6GB RAM/128GB version.

The higher-end 8GB RAM/128GB version retails for CNY 2,999 (around PHP 21.9K) and the top-end 8GB RAM/256GB storage edition is priced at CNY 3,299 (around PHP 24.1K).

It will be available for order in China from  August 28 and will go on sale on August 31.

The Hi-Fi Auto Pro Type-C to 3.5mm converter dongle is priced at CNY 269 (around PHP 1.9K) and Meizu EP3C Type-C Headphones is priced at CNY 129 (around PHP 940).

You can also get it at CNY 99 with the 16s Pro.

Note: The converted prices doesn't include taxes and duties yet.

There is no word whether it will be available in other parts of the world including the Philippines yet.

Since it is a very promising device, I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
