Since 5G is still new, this tech is often expensive. But, Huawei aims to change that situation next year.

Kirin 5G chips on affordable phones next year
In an interview, Huawei Consumer Business Group CEO Richard Yu revealed that affordable 5G phones are coming in 2020.
The quote from Richard Yu that we spotted at Android Authority reads:
5G will definitely hit mid-range and even low price range definitely from next year (sic), Yu told journalists at the Mate 30 event. This year (our) premium segmentation is 5G, next year we will go to middle tier 5G smartphones, and later on, the low tier.
As of writing, Huawei has a few 5G compatible chips, the Kirin 980 and Kirin 990. They also have a chipset with built-in 5G, the Kirin 990 5G.
What we think is Huawei might make Kirin 980 paired with the Balong 5000 5G modem available to more affordable phones next year.
But we won't be surprised if the company will make a Kirin 810 successor with built-in 5G.
If that's the case, it should be the competitor of the upcoming Snapdragon 600 and 700 series with 5G next year.
While 5G is not yet widely available to everyone, it is nice to know as early as now, companies are pushing to make it the said tech more accessible to everyone.
