Huawei Mate 20 X tops DxOMark's new "Audio" ratings

Here is the initial list where Huawei Mate 20 X topped all three lists

The company tested 7 devices from 5 different brands that include Apple, Samsung, Honor, Huawei, and Sony. The devices tested are the iPhone 11 Pro Max and XS Max,  Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ and Galaxy S10+, Honor 20 Pro, Huawei Mate 20 X, and the Sony Xperia 1.

The initial ranking saw the Mate 20 X from Huawei score 75 points for the top spot. It is closely followed by the Apple iPhone XS Max with 74 points and then the iPhone 11 Pro Max with 71 points. Samsung's Galaxy Note 10+ and Galaxy S10+ scored 66 and 65 points respectively. Rounding up the list is the Honor 20 Pro and Sony Xperia 1 with 53 and 45 points respectively.

Huawei Mate 20 X also topped both the Playback and Recording ranking as well. Surprisingly, Sony Xperia 1 beat the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ in the Recording test with 64 points which is 3 more than the latter's score.

DxOMark has a dedicated team of audio engineers and experts doing the testing in a dedicated audio lab. The lab has two major test setups namely the anechoic box and the listening room.
