Right on schedule, Xiaomi made the Redmi Note 8 Pro official in the Philippines. As expected, it has a better design, superior specs, and more powerful cameras versus the regular Note 8.

Redmi Note 8 Pro arrives in the curvier 3D glass back, four corner curves, and IP52 water splash resistant body. In front, it has a larger 19:5:9 6.53-inch panel with FHD+ resolution, 91.4 percent screen-to-body ratio, 4.2 mm narrow bottom border.

The display even has TÜV Rheinland eye protection certification to protect our eyes from blue light when reading or watching in the dark.

Under the hood, it is powered by the very exciting MediaTek Helio G90T based on 12nm manufacturing process and LiquidCool 4-degree.

It is the chip that uses powerful Cortex-A76 and A55 cores and flagship Mali-G76 3EEMC4 GPU paired with "HyperEngine" technology to boost the overall performance of the phone. It will allow you to use two networks to complement each other to ensure a stable connection and reduce network delay. Basically, it will use both the WiFi and 4G networks when needed.

Having said that, Redmi Note 8 Pro is one of the first to feature Samsung's 64MP f/1.8  Bright GW1 sensor with pixel binning technology designed to produce stellar images from a mobile phone from nearly all lighting scenarios.

The main camera is paired with an 8MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth cameras.

The macro sensor can do up to 2cm close-up shots. 2cm is the closest on a phone yet.

For selfies, it has a 20MP snapper.

Xiaomi also claimed that this is the first phone for the price with liquid cooling to reduce the temperature of the phone by 4 to 6 degrees.

This device also has a larger 4,500mAh battery with 18W fast charging and support to a lot of fast charge protocols such as Quick Charge 3.0/4+, MediaTek Pump Express, and USB PD.

Xiaomi claimed that it can charge the phone from 0 to 50 percent in 36 minutes.

It also has a faster NPX-SN100T NFC and WiFi X antenna for stable WiFi.
