HONOR Band 5i with USB-A charging port announced

Following the announcement of the HONOR Band 5, Huawei's sub-brand has announced the Band 5i, an even more affordable version.

It highlights a similar design from Band 5 except that it doesn't have the charging pins for the charging cradle anymore. Instead, you get a build-in USB-A charging connector housed in the silicon strap.

It could be for easier charging as you can easily plug it to your wall charger and even a power bank without the need for a charging cradle and adapter.

Colored display

Going to the specs, it has a 5ATM (50 meters) water-resistant body, 0.96-inch TFT color screen with 160 x 80 resolution, can display 30 characters for notification, has fitness tracking features like the heart rate and even SpO2 sensor for blood oxygen level, Bluetooth 4.2, and up to 9 days of battery life.

It doesn't have the NFC anymore. It can be synced with Android 4.4 and iOS 9.0 and above devices.

The fitness band will be offered in Coral Pink, Olive Green, and Meteorite Black colors. It is priced at CNY 159 (around PHP 1.1K) and will go on sale from November 1 in China.
