Microsoft announces new Surface lineup for 2019 holidays

Microsoft announced its most expansive Surface lineup to date with five new products for the 2019 holiday season.

There are two variants for the Microsoft Surface Laptop 3

Microsoft touts the new Surface Laptop 3 with a balance of power and elegance. It is now available in two sizes namely a 13-inch variant and a 15-inch variant. It has a slim design and an 11.5 hours battery life. The Surface Laptop 3 houses 10th Gen Intel Core processors for the 13-inch variant while team Red is in the 15-inch variant with AMD Ryzen Surface Edition processor.

In terms of typing experience, it has a 1.33mm key travel that provides a tactile feel. The glass trackpad is also 20 percent bigger. It sports a USB-A port along with a USB-C port. Fast Charging is also included that can charge your Surface Laptop 3 to 80 percent in around an hour. To round up the features, it has front-facing cameras, OmniSonic speakers and dual far-field Studio Mics.

Surface Pro 7 and Surface Pro X

Surface Pro 7 and Pro X is the newest addition in the 2-in-1 device lineup of the company. First off, the Surface Pro 7 is now twice as fast as its predecessor since it now houses 10th Gen Intel Core processors as well as USB-A, USB-C, and a 10.5-hour battery life.

Surface Pro X

Surface Pro X is touted as the thinnest, lightest, most powerful, and most connected Surface Pro ever. It has the new Microsoft SQ1 processor that was a collaborative project with Qualcomm. The processor can push 2 teraflops of graphics processing power, making it the fastest Qualcomm processor for PC. It also has 33 percent smaller bezels that allowed Microsoft to fit a 13-inch touchscreen in a 12-inch chassis.

Microsoft also announced its own truly wireless earbuds. The Surface Earbuds has touch and voice controls for music, calls, and more. It also has an OmniSonic sound and a dedicated launch gesture for Spotify on Android devices via triple tap. It also has screen-free integration with Office 365 lets users access Outlook calendar and email with only voice commands. It also can provide on-screen captions and translation in Powerpoint. It also comes with a wireless charging case.

The Surface Laptop 3, Pro 7 and Pro X is already for pre-order in select markets.
