DxOMark: OPPO Reno 10x Zoom scores 116 points, ties P30 Pro/S10+ 5G!

DXOMARK has just shared the camera score of the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom more than half a year after it was first released.

Using a version with a soon-to-be-released firmware in January 2020, the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom achieved one of the highest camera scores on a 2019 flagship phone.

It got scores of 125 for photos and 100 for videos or a total score of 116 points.

DXOMARK breakdown

In comparison, tied the updated camera score of the Huawei P30 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G, the previous camera kings.

DXOMARK shared that with an overall score of 116 points, the Reno 10x easily secures a spot in its top 10 current camera rankings.

The OPPO Reno 10x Zoom offers one of the widest zoom ranges we have seen, from 16mm ultra-wide to 130mm tele-lens, and puts in a solid performance in almost all areas, earning itself an excellent DXOMARK Camera overall score of 116 and a spot in the top ten in our ranking. There is some room for improvement for the zoom and ultra-wide lens modules, which suffer from fusion artifacts, but overall, the OPPO is still a great choice for mobile photographers who want the option to zoom in on a subject or out to widen the field of view. With a very good video performance added to the mix, the OPPO is a an excellent device for tackling any mobile imaging task.

To recall, the Reno 10x Zoom features a 48MP f/1.7 Sony IMX586 w/ PDAF, Laser AF, CAF, Dual OIS, + 13MP f/3.0 periscope 10x lossless telephoto + 8MP f/2.2 120-degree ultra wide-angle lens at the back. It is the only one in the market that can do up to 60x zoom yet.
