5G and new realme devices!

Last year, realme was able to have more than 25 million smartphones shipped worldwide. The brand’s goal is to double this digit by pioneering in 5G technology and launching new realme devices, including the realme X50.

According to Realme founder and CE, Sky Li, the X50 is the first-ever realme 5G smartphone. He further added,

The smartphone industry is a very competitive market where brands come and go, and it is fiercely growing as we speak. As a young brand, realme is optimistic it will surpass all the challenges in the industry and continue broadening our market footprint with the youth as our number one motivation. We at realme will only keep moving forward and offer real value products to all.

Realme has been assertive as a brand when it released high-performing smartphones with features and pricing that were hard to compete with. Possibly because of that, this young brand was able to attain the title as the fastest growing in the market with its exceptional sales record in both offline and online.

Moreover, realme stated that it will continue to produce strongly competitive products that are priced within the low budget and upper midrange categories this year. In fact, its presence grew in 22 markets worldwide and it was able to land the second spot in India as the largest online market share.

The brand also got the fifth spot in the best-selling smartphone selling company in the Southeast Asian region as it broke the records in these three countries: the Philippines, Vietnam, and Indonesia. In the third quarter last year, Counterpoint reported that realme is the top 7 globally for the sales record of smartphones.

With the brand’s most recent offering, realme X50, it expected to introduce 5G connectivity that is more accessible in terms of pricing. The model features a modern design, consistent performance and a reasonable price tag that is claimed to be designed for youth.

5G devices from realme are expected to arrive by 2020 in China. In the Philippines, the company is currently working with local network operators, internet companies and app developers to speed up the development of 5G. Filipinos currently top the list in internet usage worldwide with its 72 million mobile social media users.
