HONOR announces global availability of 9X Pro, launches new laptops

HONOR has finally released the 9X Pro globally as it also launches two new laptops, the Magic Book 14 and 15.

HONOR 9X Pro global edition is now official

The HONOR 9X Pro is already being sold in China, but this time it will be available in the United Kingdom and other regions. 

To recap, this is a premium smartphone with a 6.59-inch LCD display that is almost edge-to-edge and no notch. There is a triple-camera system on the back that consists of 48MP main camera, 8MP super wide-angle, and a 2MP depth sensor. It also sports a 16 MP pop-up front-facing camera,  a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.  It is claimed that both the front and the rear cameras can do 1080p video recording

Aside from that,  this device runs on a 7nm Kirin 810 chipset, with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of internet storage that is expandable up to 512 GB.

According to HONOR, 9X Pro will be available in midnight black and phantom purple colors but the release date and pricing is still for confirmation.

HONOR also introduced the global edition of its latest ultrabooks, the Magic Books 14 and 15. These laptops are the same ones that the company announced in China in November last year.

Just a quick review, HONOR Magic Book has two variants, a 14-inch, and a 15.6-inch. The two size variants weigh 1.38kg and 1.53kg, respectively and measure 15.9mm and 16.9mm in thickness. Both feature 1080p IPS display with a 16:9 aspect. 

Under the hood, they run on AMD Ryzen 3500U. Both are based on AMD's Zen+ architecture and built on a 12nm process. Aside from that, they are integrated with AMD Vega 8 and Vega 10 graphics, respectively. There's an option for either 8GB or 16GB of DDR4 RAM and 256GB or 512GB of PCIe SSD storage.

Moreover, the  MagicBook 14 packs the larger 56Wh battery, while the 15.6-inch only has a 42W one. They are charged via USB PD at 65W, through the single Type-C port, with a promised 0 percent to 46 percent charge in 30 minutes. Honor also said that a full battery will get you 9.5 hours of video playback.

HONOR said the laptops are coming to Europe in these countries first: UK, Germany, France and the Czech Republic. These ultrabooks are going to be available in two colors, Space Gray and Mystic Silver. The price will start at EUR 599 or approximately PHP 33.2K (before taxes and duties).
