HONOR 9X and 9X Pro announced with all-screen design, pop-up cam, 7nm Kirin 810!

On schedule, HONOR released the highly-anticipated follow-up to the successful 8X last year, the 9X and 9X Pro.

HONOR 9X highlights a 3D curved back design with unique X-like patterns and gradient colors in midnight black, blue, and red. It also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a large 6.59-inch panel with 19:5:9 screen aspect ratio, no notch, and a 16MP pop-up camera.

The other major thing about the 9X is its 7nm 2.27GHz 64-bit Kirin 810 octa-core processor and Mali-G52 MP6 GPU. It is the chip that is even faster than the Snapdragon 730 of Qualcomm according to recent benchmarks.

It also goes a 4,000mAh battery with USB-C charging and a 48MP f/1.8 main camera + 2MP depth camera.

HONOR 9X Pro is similar in specs compared with the regular 9X, but better. It has the midnight black and phantom blue color options, NINE liquid cooling option, larger 8GB RAM, up to 256GB storage, and an extra 8MP f/2.4 ultra wide-angle camera at the back.

There's a 3.5mm headphone jack on both phones as well.

HONOR 9X comes with a starting price of CNY 1,399 (around PHP 10.3K) for the 4GB RAM/64GB storage option, CNY 1,599 (around PHP 11.8K) for the 6GB RAM/64GB variant, and CNY 1,899 (around PHP 14.1K) for the 6GB RAM/128GB edition.

On the other hand, HONOR 9X Pro goes with a CNY 2,199 (around PHP 16.3K) starting price for the 8GB RAM/128GB storage variant and CNY 2,399 (around PHP 17.8K) for the 8GB RAM/256GB storage edition.

The phones will be available for pre-order in China starting July 30. It will go on sale on August 9.
