1. 7nm+ EUV Kirin 990 5G - The Mate 30 Pro 5G comes with the more powerful Kirin 990 5G chip compared to the Mate 30 Pro 4G's regular Kirin 990 with Dual NPU. The Kirin 990 5G is clocked in 2.86GHz with 8 cores as well as Triple NPU that consists of 2 Big-Cores + 1 Tiny-Core. It is also paired with Mali-G76 MP16 with the New-Gen GPU Turbo.

2. Balong 5000 5G Modem - To harness the fast speeds, the Mate 30 Pro 5G sports the Balong 5000 5G modem with non-stand-along and stand-along 5G. It has download speeds of up to 2.3Gbps and 1.25Gbps upload speed. It is expected to be the first 5G-ready smartphone in PH.

3. Highest DxOMark scored quad-camera system - Recently, the Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G achieved the highest DxOMark mobile camera score yet.

It has a combination of 40MP f/1.6 SuperSensing w/ OIS + 40MP f/1.8 SuperSensing Cine Camera + 8MP f/2.4 3x Optical Zoom w/ OIS + 3D Depth Sensing Camera w/ PDAF and CAF, and dual-tone LED flash w/ Color Temperature sensors. This is a feature-packed camera system worthy of a flagship smartphone.

4. Flagship specs and features - Aside from the Kirin 990 5G SoC, it also has 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 256GB expandable storage, and a 4,500mAh battery with 40W SuperCharge + 27W Wireless SuperCharge + Reverse Wireless charging.

5. Similar premium design -The Mate 30 Pro 5G retains a similar design with an aluminum body and a "Halo Ring" found at the back surrounding the rear quad cameras. It also has the same 6.47-inch 3D curved OLED screen with  2400 X 1176 FHD+ resolution with an 88-degree waterfall-type curve that gives it a seamless look. 

There are no side buttons for the volume controls as you can use the side of the display for that. There is a notch that Huawei calls "Horizon Display" which is noticeably smaller in size.
