OPPO Ace2 goes official with 90Hz screen, SD865 5G, 65W SuperVOOC 2.0, and 40W AirVOOC

On schedule, OPPO launched the Ace2 in an event in China. It confirmed that the handset sports a fresh-looking design, flagship-grade internals, and new interesting features.

Gaming flagship of OPPO?

OPPO Ace2 won't be a part of the Reno series anymore, but it is a beast in its own right. The handset sports a beautiful 3D curved body with a circular camera hump ala Huawei Mate 30.

Punch-hole 90Hz screen

In front, it uses a punch-hole 6.5-inch OLED display optimized for gaming. It is a 20:9 screen with 2400 x 1080 resolution at 408 ppi, HDR10+, 1100 nits brightness, TÜV Rheinland certification, and 90Hz refresh rate.

40W AirVOOC

Under the hood, you'll find the powerful 2.84GHz 7nm Snapdragon 865 octa-core processor paired with Adreno 650 GPU, up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, up to 256GB UFS 3.0 storage, and a 4,000mAh battery with USB-C 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 and the new 40W AirVOOC solution!

To keep the performance in check, it goes with 4D cooling that includes carbon fiber and vapor cooling chamber.

For cameras, it comes with an AI optimized 48MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide cameras, 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth camera.

This device also has a stereo speaker setup, 5G NSA/A, and Android 10 OS with ColorOS 7.1 skin.

The OPPO Air VOOC wireless fast charger costs 249 yuan (US$ 35 / Rs. 2,690 approx.). It will be available in China from April 20th.
