PLDT and Smart stretch payment period until April 30

On Twitter, PLDT announced that PLDT Home and Smart Communications are stretching the payment period and suspending the disconnection of overdue accounts of all their postpaid and prepaid customers until April 30, 2020.

PLDT and Smart stretch payment period until April 30

To recall, PLDT and Smart have recently provided a 30-day payment extension period for its postpaid customers because of the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine to prevent the further spread of COVID-19.

It should have ended today April 13, but the Duterte administration has extended the quarantine to April 30.

PLDT and Smart said that they are taking this action to help its customers stay connected during this difficult period. The statement added that the group hopes that the extension will help ease the stress of the times and enable its users to effectively work and study at home while taking care of their loved ones.

Being online will also allow its users to be informed about the latest news and developments of the Coronavirus disease 2019 outbreak.

To track bills or data usage, PLDT and Smart said that its customers may log in to their account dashboard on the PLDT or Smart websites or the myPLDT Smart app.
