DxOMark: HONOR V30 Pro got a disappointing selfie camera score

The HONOR V30 Pro is one of those phones with strong rear camera scores at DxOMark. But it failed to impress the benchmarking site with its selfie cameras.

Not so strong selfie score

Unlike its back cameras, the 32MP + 8MP selfie cameras of the HONOR V30 Pro failed to impress DxOMark

The HONOR V30 Pro achieved a 70 Photo score and an 85 Video score for an average score of 76 points.

The selfie score breakdown

In comparison, its selfie camera score is even lower than the Pixel and Mi CC9 Pro Premium Edition with 77 points each. Unlike its primary cameras, its selfie cam was not included in the top 10.

With an overall DXOMARK Selfie score of 76, the Honor V30 Pro occupies a position in the bottom third of our mid-table rankings, which is slightly disappointing for a device in its class. Photo mode in particular leaves some room for improvement, as the V30 Pro’s still image score of 70 puts it among the lowest-performing front cameras we have tested so far.

To recall, the HONOR V30 Pro has two selfie shooters. It uses a 32MP main selfie camera with Super Night mode and an 8MP ultra-wide secondary camera with a 105-degree field of view.

On paper, the camera hardware seems strong. Maybe, HONOR should provide an update to improve its selfie cam.
