Birth of a new flagship killer

POCOPHONE F2 Pro has a lot of similarities to the K30 Pro. The device also goes with the same design with 3D curved Gorilla Glass 5 back, but it is now available in Neon Blue, Phantom White, Electric Purple, and Cyber Grey colorways.

In front, it goes with the 6.7-inch 3D curved Gorilla Glass 5 protected Super AMOLED display with 180Hz touch sampling rate, HDR10+, and no notch. POCO also boasts that it goes with Widevine L1 certification and TÜV Rheinland certification for eye care. For a more immersive experience, it has an all-screen display with tiny bezels, In-Display fingerprint reader, and a 20MP pop-up camera.

It wouldn't be a flagship killer without a flagship chipset. It uses the 2.84GHz 7nm Snapdragon 865 octa-core processor with a separate 5G modem and Adreno 650 GPU. It is paired with an LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1.

To keep the performance in check, it comes with the LiquidCool Technology 2.0 with 10 NTC heat sensors to detect where heat is coming from, multi-layer graphite, graphene, Super VC and VC better overall cooling. POCO said that this is where it'll stand out against the competition.

The handset also comes with a large 4,700mAh battery with USB-C 30W fast charging that can fully charge the phone from 0 to 100 percent in 63 minutes.

This makes the POCO F2 Pro the first phone of the company with
TÜV Rheinland high gaming performance certification. With this, the company promised that it won't lag your phone even if if you have multiple apps running in the background.

For cameras, POCO highlighted that it uses a 64MP f/1.8 Sony IMX686 main camera paired with an ultra-wide camera, a telemacro sensor for zoom shots with great details, and a depth sensor.

On paper, the only things that prevented it from being a flagship are the lack of wireless charging and IP68 water resistance rating. Other than that, this device is a beast for the price.
