Qualcomm outs the overclocked Snapdragon 768G

Qualcomm just made the Snapdragon 768G official, the overclocked version of the Snapdragon 765G. Qualcomm said that the device is designed to "deliver" immersive gaming experiences and truly global 5G.

The SoC is built under the 7nm EUV process with 1x 2.8GHz Kryo 475 Prime core, 1x 2.2GHz Kyro 475 Gold core, and 6x 1.8GHz Kryro 475 Silver cores. The clock speed of the main CPU is up to 2.8GHz from 2.4GHz.

The GPU still has the Adreno 620. But, it has a higher clock speed. From 625MHz, it is up to 750MHz. It also has the Snapdragon Elite Gaming features and true 10-bit HDR support.

Coming from the Snapdragon 765G, it has up to 15 percent better GPU performance.

It's also said to be the first 7 series SoC with Adreno updateable GPU drivers. It supports up to 120Hz refresh rate screens as well.

The chip also comes with the 5th Generation AI Engine combined with the X52 5G Modem-RF System.

It also has built-in 5G with NSA/SA, 5G mmWave, and sub-6GHz, up to 3.7 Gbps DL speed, and up to 1.6GHz UL speed.

The chip supports up to Quick Charge 4+, Bluetooth 5.2, and USB-C 3.1. The previous-gen SD765G only comes with Bluetooth 5.0.

The first phone with this chip is the Redmi K30 5G Racing Edition.
