In China, Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi unveiled the Redmi K30 5G Racing Edition, the very first smartphone in the world equipped with the Snapdragon 768 SoC.

The handset sports a similar design to the Redmi K30 at the back and front except that it comes with a nice Mint Green colorway. It still comes with the 20:9 6.67-inch FHD+ 120Hz screen with a pill-shaped punch-hole for the 20MP + 2MP selfie dual-cam.

But, as mentioned the highlight of this handset is the chipset. It comes with the 7nm EUV Snapdragon 768G and Adreno 620 GPU clocked at 725MHz. Qualcomm claimed that this SoC solution has a CPU that is faster by 30 percent, GPU that is 50 percent stronger, and 140 percent AI performance increase versus the previous generation chip.

Redmi also claimed that it has a cooling solution that reduces heat by up to 7 degrees Celcius.
The device is paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. It also goes with a large 4,500mAh battery with USB-C 30W fast wired charging.
For the cameras at the back, it uses a 64MP main cam + 8MP ultra-wide cam + 5MP 2cm macro cam + 2MP depth cam.
The phone also has WiFi, 5G NSA/SA, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, NFC, and dual SIM slots.
It is priced at CNY 1,999 which is around PHP 14.2K. Sales will begin on May 14.
