DxOMark: Samsung Galaxy S20+ is the 10th best camera phone today
Samsung Galaxy S20+

It bested the iPhone 11 Pro Max and Samsung Galaxy Note10+

Despite the lack of a periscope zoom lens, it entered the top 10 of DxOMark's ranking. It got a pretty good Photo score of 127 points and a Video score of 100 points for an average score of 118 points.

Basically, it bested the iPhone 11 Pro Max and Galaxy Note10+ with 117 points each. But, it is slightly lower than the Galaxy S20 Ultra with 122 points. Its score is still 10 points less than the current leader, the Huawei P40 Pro with 128 points.

The Galaxy S20+ achieved this score with the use of its quad-camera setup. It uses a 12MP f/1.8 primary camera with Dual Pixel and OIS, 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide lens, 64MP f/2.0 with 3x Hybrid Optic Zoom, PDAF, and OIS, and a 3D ToF camera.

With 118 points, the Samsung Galaxy S20+ is an excellent device for smartphone photography and just nudges out the iPhone 11 Pro Max and Samsung Galaxy S10+ 5G to secure the number ten spot in our DxOMark Camera rankings. Although a few spots behind the 6th-placed S20 Ultra at 122 points, the two Samsung devices display very similar image quality in many respects—but also a couple of key differences. With a very good Photo score of 127 points, key strengths on the S20+ include excellent exposure with wide dynamic range, vivid color, accurate autofocus, and exceptional ultra-wide capabilities.

DxO has yet to share its selfie score though.
