Rumors: Samsung Galaxy Note20's Exynos 990 will be "as fast" as Snapdragon counterpart

A week before the official reveal of the Galaxy Note20 series, a new rumor from a tipster claimed that Samsung has heavily optimized the Exynos 990 for the said devices.

To recall, the Exynos 990 received a lot of criticism as it isn't simply as good as its Snapdragon counterpart. Even the mid-range MediaTek Helio G90T bested it in terms of gaming performance.

The tipster even claimed that the Exynos 990 of the Note20 series comes with better optimization than the Snapdragon version and it runs just as good and fast as the Snapdragon.

Samsung will even market the Exynos 990 Note20's better overall device. The rumor said that the chip will be like the unofficial Exynos 990+.

The Samsung Galaxy Note20 and Note20 Ultra are expected to be powered by the new Snapdragon 865+.

For now, these are all speculations. Personally, we are unsure how will Samsung's Exynos 990 beat or even compete against its Snapdragon counterpart by just optimizing the chip without changing its hardware configuration.
