Huawei MatePad 10.8 leaks, will feature the Kirin 990 SoC

Chinese online shopping website JD.com briefly listed the upcoming MatePad 10.8 showing its design, key specs, pricing, and release date ahead of its official launch.

A more powerful MatePad

The main upgrade is its use of the Kirin 990 processor like the MatePad Pro. This means that this tablet will be one of the fastest out there for the price. The RAM size is also up from 4GB to 6GB. The tablet will also come with 64GB storage.

The poster also highlighted that it will feature the WiFi 6+ connectivity for better and more stable WiFi signal reception.

The tablet will also be equipped with 4x Harman Kardon speakers with Huawei Histen 6.1 audio tech.

Likely, the resolution and screen aspect ratio will remain the same at 2560 x 1600 and 16:10, respectively. Based on the render, it also supports the M-Pencil stylus and Huawei Keyboard.

The new MatePad will launch this July 30 at JD.com. Shipments will start on August 13.
