The HONOR X5ds comes in Forest Green and Midnight Black colorways. The device measures 168.3 x 78.5 x 8.72mm and weighs approximately 214g. An IP52 rating provides basic protection against dust and water splashes.
Its primary highlight is the rear display with a 2.01-inch LCD panel and 296 x 240 resolution, allowing users to take selfies using the rear camera and view them right away. Moreover, it has the capability of viewing calls and controlling media playback.

In front, the main display is a 6.78-inch LCD panel with HD+ 1576 x 720 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a typical brightness of 600 nits.
The phone is powered by the Unisoc T610 chipset, which has two Cortex-A75 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores, all clocked at up to 1.8GHz. It comes with 4GB of RAM, supplemented by 4GB of virtual memory, and 64GB of internal storage. A dedicated three-card slot supports storage expansion of up to 1TB.
The X5ds has a 6,000mAh battery and supports 15W wired charging.
For cameras, the device has a 50MP main sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, 4x digital zoom, and a single LED flash. The rear camera records video at up to 1080p.
As for selfies, it uses a 5MP shooter with 1080p video recording.
Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Connectivity options include WiFi (2.4GHz/5GHz), 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and dual SIM support.
Finally, it runs on Android 16 (Go edition).
