Xiaomi Philippines confirmed on Facebook that the Redmi 9A budget smartphone will go official in the country on July 14.

Xiaomi's ultra-budget Redmi is coming!

As a quick recap, the Redmi 9A is the company's newest entry-level offering equipped with textured back design in Grey, Blue, and Green colorways. In front, it goes with a 6.53-inch HD+ 1600 x 720 display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a notch.

Inside, it is powered by the new MediaTek 12nm Helio G25 octa-core processor with PowerVR GE8320 GPU at 650MHz, 2GB LPDDR4X RAM, 32GB eMMC 5.1 expandable storage via microSD card, and 5,000mAh large battery with 10W charging.

For cameras, it highlights a 13MP main camera and 5MP selfie camera. The phone also has an IR Blaster, 3.5mm audio jack, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and dual SIM slots.

It loads with Android 10 OS with MIUI 11 skin.

There's no word about the official local SRP yet. But in Malaysia, it retails at MYR 359 or around PHP 4.2K out of direct conversion.
