Samsung UV Sterilizer with wireless charging launches globally

Samsung has launched a new UV sterilizer that kills 99 percent of germs and that doubles as a wireless charger for smartphones or accessories.

Samsung sees the importance of hygiene and the need to combat the spread of bacteria and germs. Announced first in Thailand, the new Samsung UV sterilizer with wireless charging is now announced globally.

At first glance, the UV Sterilizer is a polycarbonate box big enough to fit one Galaxy S20 Ultra or big enough to fit a Galaxy Watch and a Galaxy Buds. To use the UV Sterilizer, users just simply have to place their gadget inside the box, close the lid and press the button. 

The UV sterilizer uses UV-C light to kill up to 99 percent of germs and bacteria on all sides of the device placed inside it.

The LED indicator beside the button lights up to show when its working and when the Sanitization process is complete.

The Samsung UV Sterilizer with wireless charging costs THB 1,590 (or around PHP 2.5K) and is now available in Thailand, Germany, Romania, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

There is no word yet on Philippine pricing and Availability.
