POCO M2 with Helio G80 SoC and 6GB RAM now official!

Just a day following the much-hyped launch of the POCO X3 NFC globally, the Xiaomi-related mobile maker earlier announced the entry-level version of the M2 in India.

On paper, the POCO M2 is like the upgraded Redmi 9. It still features the splash-proof polycarbonate body, 6.53-inch FHD+ display, 12nm Helio G80 SoC, 5,020mAh battery, 13MP + 8MP + 5MP + 2MP quad-cam, 8MP selfie-cam, rear fingerprint reader, and IR Blaster.

But, it now comes with bigger 6GB LPDDR4X RAM coming from 3GB or 4GB and 64GB/128GB storage instead of 32GB/64GB.

It also sports 3 new colors namely Brick Red, Pitch Black, and Slate Blue.

The phone loads with Android 10-based MIUI 11 and it is upgradable to MIUI 12.

The company also noted that the M2 won't come with any ads like other MIUI-running smartphones sold under the Mi and Redmi brand.
