Apple Macbook Air, 13-inch MacBook Pro and Mac mini with 5nm M1 ARM chip priced in PH!

Apple PH has finally revealed the details and price of the new MacBook Air, 13-inch MacBook Pro and Mac Mini with the new 5nm M1 ARM chip!

Three new Macs with ARM Chips!

In June of 2020, Apple announced the next version of its computer operating system called BigSur and teased that Apple will be transitioning from Intel-based Macs to Apple Silicon. 

Now in November at its One More Thing event, Apple has finally revealed three new Macs with the new 5nm M1 ARM chip.

3x faster with iMovie

First up is the new MacBook Air. It is Apple's most popular Mac and with the new M1 chip, Apple claims that the CPU performs 3.5x faster, the 8-core GPU is 5x faster, the Machine Learning workloads are now 9x faster and the SSD performance is 2x faster. 

In comparison with the Intel-based MacBook Air, Apple claims that the new M1 equipped MacBook Air is able to export an iMovie project 3x faster, Integrate 3D effects into video in Final Cut Pro up to 5x faster and playback/edit multiple full-quality 4K ProRes streams in Final Cut Pro without dropping frames.

The new MacBook Air delivers all that power with a fanless design while providing up to 15 hours of wireless web browsing and up to 18 hours of video playback.

It features two Thunderbolt / USB 4 ports with Touch ID.

13-inch MacBook Pro with M1 chip

Next up is the new 13-inch MacBook Pro. Apple claims that because the new 13-inch MacBook Pro with the new M1 chip and with active cooling has resulted in 2.8x faster Build code in Xcode, 5.9x faster render of 3D title, full 8K ProRes 8K playback in DaVinci Resolve and 4x faster in code compiling.

The new MacBook Pro features Touch ID, two Thunderbolt/USB 4 ports and can support a 6K display and can deliver up to 17 hours of wireless web browsing, and up to 20 hours of video playback.

Apple Mac Mini with M1 chip

Lastly is the new Mac Mini. With the new M1 chip, the Mac mini is able to deliver up to 3x faster CPU performance, up to 6x faster GPU performance and up to 15x faster Machine Learning workloads.

This has resulted in up to 3x faster code compiling for Xcode, can play Shadow of the Tomb Raider with up to 4x higher frame rates, up to 6x faster Fina Cut Pro project render and up to 3x as many real-time plug-ins in Logic Pro.

The new chip also brings WiFi 6 an support for up to an 6K monitor to the new Mac Mini.
