In India, LG recently announced the K42. It's a military-grade entry-level offering boasting a modern design and quad cameras.

LG K42 key specs and highlights

LG K42 uses a body in Green and Gray colors verified by US Military Standard Tests—MIL-STD-810G for durability.

In front, it uses a 6.6-inch 20:9 screen with HD+ 1600 x 720 resolution with a top-center punch-hole housing the 8MP selfie camera. Inside, it is powered by the 12nm 2.0GHz MediaTek Helio P22 octa-core processor with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU (650MHz), 3GB RAM, 64GB expandable storage, and a 4,000mAh battery capacity with USB-C charging.

For the rear cameras, it has a 13MP + 5MP 115-degree ultra-wide-angle + 2MP macro + 2MP depth + LED flash.

This also has a dedicated Google Assistant Key that can launch a Visual Snapshat of the weather, schedule, and other information when pressed twice and a walkie-talkie mode when holding the button.

LG K42 also has the LG 3D Sound Engine and a side-mounted fingerprint reader. It also has WIFi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and GLONASS.

It runs with Android 10 OS. The phone measures 165 x 76.7 x 8.4 mm and weighs 182 grams.

India price with direct to PHP conversion (no taxes and duties yet):

LG K42 - INR 10,990 (around PHP 7.2K)

It will be available in India starting Jan 26 with 2 years of warranty. There's no word regarding the phone's international availability yet.
