realme Buds Air 2 with 10mm diamond-like HiFi driver and longer battery life announced alongside the realme narzo 30 series!
Alongside the official announcement of the Narzo 30 series in India, realme has announced the successor to 2019's realme Buds Air. The new realme Buds Air 2 features an eye-catching two-tone color design.
Inside the new Buds Air 2 is a new 10mm driver with a diaphragm with a diamond-like carbon coating that realme says improves sound quality significantly. Another improvement is the new custom R2 chip that realme says offers 80 percent improved battery life while reducing connection latency by 35 percent.
This results in 5 hours of continuous playback with the earbuds and extends up to 25 hours of total playback with the charging case. The case also offers 120mins of playback after just 10 minutes of charge. However, because of the battery improvements, realme has removed the wireless charging capability on the Buds Air 2 that the original Buds Air had.
Another benefit is that the game mode also gets an upgrade as the latency is now down to 88ms over Buds Air's 120ms.
One major new feature is the addition of Active Noise cancellation that realme says can reduce noise that is up to 25dB and is capable of filtering out low-frequency sounds that include airplane rumblings and home appliance noise. It also has Environmental Noise cancellation which uses dual-microphones on both earbuds to improve voice calls.
Lastly, the Buds Air is IPX5 rated and will come in Close Black and Closer White.
realme Buds Air 2 - INR 3,299 (or around PHP 2.3K)
The new Truly wireless earphones will be available for purchase this March 2, 2021, in India from realme's webstore, FlipKart, and offline stores.
There is no word yet on International and Philippine pricing and availability.
