Huawei's AppGallery now has more than 2.3 million developers and 530 million active users, makes Shifter available as well

Global tech leader Huawei shared its latest update for its growing app marketplace called AppGallery.

Under HMS (Huawei Mobile Services), AppGallery now has more than 2.3 million registered developers and over 530 million active monthly users worldwide. It's an 83 percent growth for its yearly in-app distribution that's equivalent to 384 billion installs in 2020.

Huawei Consumer Business Group CEO Richard Yu noted that its number of new developers translates 77 percent higher than 2019.

Huawei puts a lot of effort into working with local and global developers. And now, in 42 markets in all parts of five regions, the AppGallery has over 1 million users.

The Director of Global Partnerships at Huawei Consumer Business Group, Zhang Zhe confirmed that the number of applications optimized for HMS core has "more than doubled in one year".

Also, Huawei noted that its app distribution reaches 385.4 billion in 2020, 174 billion more than the previous year with gaming at the forefront of this expansion. AppGallery now has over 500 percent more games available on the platform versus last year.

Some of the notable games launched last year are AFK Arena, Asphalt 9: Legends, Clash of Kings, and many more.

Huawei customers are amongst the first to experience innovative new gameplay across the world, with launches from the past year including AFK Arena, Asphalt 9: Legends, Clash of Kings, and many more.

AppGallery Shifter

In a press announcement, the tech giant also announced that Shifter (Work Shift Calendar), a critically acclaimed calendar app from LRHSoft is now available on AppGallery. This can help its users to organize their schedules on a day-to-day basis.
