Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition will launch on April 27!

Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi today confirmed that the device it is currently teasing will be called the K40 Game Enhanced Edition. The latest teaser also shared that the device will go official in China on April 27.

A MediaTek Dimensity 1200 monster?

Based on the new teaser, the device has a dedicated gaming switch on the side and a circular LED light around the camera module that glows when the button is pressed. It also reads "Freezing" and "Speediest" texts written on the left and right part of the camera island suggesting that it has an improved heat dissipation tech and better performance.

The camera module also shows that the device has 3 cameras with laser AF.

The company added that the handset will feature a thin and light body without compromising gaming performance, gaming control, audio, and video experience at a low price.

Earlier rumors claimed that the phone will be a 3.0GHz 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 1200 octa-core processor with Mali-G77 MC9 and a built-in 5G,  Samsung E4 OLED panel with a punch-hole for the selfie camera, 5,000mAh battery with USB-C 65W fast charger, and shoulder triggers.

It is expected to be priced at around CNY 2,000 (around PHP 14.8K) to CNY 2,500 (around PHP 18.5K).

It will also be in partnership with Call of Duty: Mobile.
