News broke out a few months ago, wherein EA had announced that the mobile port of the popular PC and Console title could arrive on mobile platforms in the 3rd quarter of this year.
This time, it looks like it is about to happen sooner as the Game Director for Apex Legends, Chad Grenier said in a blog post that " beginning later this month, we're kicking off the first regional beta test for Apex Legends mobile".
The developer said it will be a fresh new version of Apex Legends, but still true to the original.
The game is optimized for touchscreens, with streamlined controls and thoughtful optimizations, which result in an advanced battle royale experience available on the go.

Based on the few early screenshots available, the mobile port looks identical to the Console and PC versions. The game is free to play but there won't be any cross-play between the PCs and console, according to the announcement.

The developers will be starting off small, allowing only a few thousand testers from India and the Philippines, but will expand to more regions around the world over the course of this year.
EA's decision to begin testing in the Philippines and India may indicate that they want to put first the Apex legends on areas with strong popularity on Battle Royale games such the COD: mobile, PUBG mobile, and Fortnite.
The said mobile port will be available first in the Google Playstore and later on, in the App Store.
However, there is no exact date yet when it will be available for download, but judging that there are only 10 days left before the end of this month, we can expect it to be available in the next coming days.
