In a Facebook post, SM Mall of Asia announced it has deployed wireless charging stations found in ficus trees at Central Atrium allowing mall-goers to charge their smartphones for free.

Make sure to take off your phone case and your device allows wireless charging, SM Mall of Asia said.

It said devices such as iPhone X, Samsung S8, and other latest mobile units support Qi wireless charging.

The post already garnered over 2,100 reactions, more than 400 comments, and has been shared by 2,000 Facebook users.

Smartphone manufacturers have been upgrading their devices with wireless charging capabilities. Companies such as Samsung and OPPO have also started releasing their own wireless chargers.

Earlier this year, OPPO listed the 45W AirVOOC wireless charger for sale on China online retailer JD.com. Its Find X3 and Find X3 Pro were also launched in March with 30W AirVOOC wireless charging.
