vivo adds the Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 to the 6-month-old Y52s and calls it vivo Y52s (t1 Edition) in China.

In China, vivo silently launches the vivo Y52s (t1 Edition). It is an update to the six-month-old vivo Y52s with an upgraded Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 5G chipset with a 70mm long vapor chamber.

In front of the Y52 (t1 Edition) is a 6.58-inch LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate, FHD+ resolution, and waterdrop notch. Inside the phone is the aforementioned 8nm Snapdragon 480 5G SoC, Adreno 619 GPU, 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 256GB UFS 2.1, and 5,000mAh battery with 18W dual-engine flash charge via USB-C.

At the back are a 48MP f/1.79 main camera, 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor, and a LED flash while in front is an 8MP f/1.8 selfie camera.

Running the show is Android 11-based Origin OS 1.0 with Jovi. Other features include a 3.5mm audio jack and Bluetooth 5.1. The body measures 164.15 x 75.35 x 8.4 mm and weighs 185.5 grams.

Lastly, the Y52 (t1 Edition) comes in Titanium Gray, Coral Pink, and Aurora.

The new vivo Y52s (t1 Edition) is now available in China. There is no word yet on International and Philippine pricing and availability.
