realme 8 5G will go official in the Philippines on June 24!

To make 5G more accessible to Filipinos, realme yesterday shared that the company will launch the realme 8 5G in the Philippines soon.

The side device will go official in the country on June 24, 6PM on a Livestream launch via realme's official Facebook page.

As we stand in the midst of the 5G revolution, we are dedicated to lead the 5G race with the launch of the realme 8 5G, our latest game-changer that will set a new standard for 5G performance and connectivity, says Austine Huang, realme Philippines’ VP for Marketing.

As a quick recap, the realme 8 5G is the company's entry-level handset boasting the next-generation connectivity technology called 5G. It features MediaTek's  2.0GHz 7nm Dimensity 700 octa-core processor with Mali-G57 MC2 (950MHz) GPU and a built-in 5G modem.

Apart from 5G support, the device also features near "no-compromise" entry-level specs. It uses a stylish glasstic curved back design, 6.5-inch FHD+ 90Hz screen, 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB UFS 2.1 expandable storage, and 5,000mAh battery capacity with 18W Quick Charge.

The cameras are also decent as it uses a 48MP main shooter with PDAF paired with 2MP macro and a 2MP mono camera. In front, you will see a 16MP f/2.1 shooter on the upper-left punch-hole of the device.
