The municipality of Bantayan Island received an assist in tourism from Smart. The latter helped the former install 25 tourism billboards.

Smart wants to help promote the Bantayan Islands tourism through billboards. The 25 tourism billboards were installed around the Bantayan Public Plaza. These billboards show the Bantayan Island's various cultures, livelihoods, and tourist destinations found in the municipality's barangays. In addition, two new Smart cell sites will soon rise in Brgy. Obo-ob and Brgy. Sillion.

These will help strengthen the local government's efforts to make Bantayan Island a notable ecotourism and wellness destination. The unveiling ceremony was held during the Bantayan Day celebration. The event was graced by Hon. Mayor Arthur E. Despi and representatives from Smart that include Manager of Smart Group Corporate Communications-Visayas Marylou Gocotano.
