Xiaomi reveals security update schedule for its devices
In a post, Xiaomi shared its planned schedule for security updates for most of its devices. It is broken down into monthly and quarterly updates.

Security updates are vital to keeping your smartphone safe from dangerous exploits and hacks. Getting them as often as possible is the best course of action in the perfect world. Xiaomi just unveiled how often its devices get security updates and patches.
For the monthly updates, we have the Xiaomi Mi A3, Mi A2, and Mi A2 Lite. For quarterly updates, here is the complete list:

Inspecting the list, we noticed that the Mi 11 and Mi 11 Pro are not mentioned at all. The Mi A3 is also included in the monthly and quarterly list. The latter might mean that the Mi A3 gets smaller updates monthly and major, bigger updates quarterly. Is this the final list? We believe that this ain't it, chief. Xiaomi may update the list in the following days.
Xiaomi also states that although it is deemed as monthly and quarterly updates, these updates will not come in a fixed date each time. Delivery time will be highly varied due to differences in regions and the number of devices.
