HONOR CEO teases Magic 3, comes with 5 cameras in total

Ahead of its expected August 12, HONOR CEO George Zhao teased the HONOR 3.

It arrived in a pre-production case hiding its general design, but it shows that it has a total of 5 small circles appearing to be cameras. It also has a microphone for audio zooming and a dual-LED flash, and another flash on top.

This design appears to be different from its earlier leak showing that it has four cameras.

In the video interview with famous Go player Nie Weiping and a former journalist Zhang Quanling, Zhao explained the new features that the Magic 3. It shows that it has a more silent type of ringtone when the user is looking at the screen that could be useful if the user doesn't want others to be disturbed by its ringing.

For specs, the device will be the first smartphone with the new Snapdragon 888 Plus SoC in the market.

Going back to the cameras, some speculates that it could use a 50MP + 3x 64MP cameras + ToF sensor or a 2MP depth camera.

Sounds promising. Let's wait and see in the coming days.
